About

Out of Colombia and into your hands: the fresh new Navidad (Christmas) album from exciting young artist AnaEme. Navidad combines the tradition of the season
with a rich fusion of Latin rhythms and pop influences. AnaEme notes, “Christmas is my favorite season; I love the hope and love that this one powerful Child, God’s son, brings to us in one amazing night.”

AnaEme is using her undeniable talent to deliver a message of hope with catchy arrangements that can be danced to all year long. “Christmas in Colombia is all about dancing, celebrating head-to-toes what this moment in history represents.  And my producer just got the right rhythms to make it sound exactly like Christmas sounds in my country.”

Born in Manizales, Colombia, AnaEme knew music was her passion from a very early age. As a 2-year-old, she would sit at her German toy piano, making up songs and playing tunes all day long. “I didn’t know what I was saying half of the time, but I just knew I was meant to sing.” Throughout her early music career, AnaEme played piano and voice recitals and competitions, performed with numerous music groups, and studied at conservatories such as Academia de Musica UNAC and Fundación Universitaria Bellas Artes.

Early on, she had made inroads in the music world – but a series of profound events would help AnaEme define her own unique message and voice. Her parents, who had once denied the existence of God, found themselves confronted with the reality of Jesus Christ. AnaEme’s mother was miraculously healed from what doctors called a terminal illness; both of her parents were instantaneously freed from long-term addictions through a simple prayer; her broken family was reunited with the love and strength that comes from above. AnaEme was blown away by the evidence of the power of God in her own life and has not stopped singing about it ever since.

“Music can be like medicine – when it’s mixed with the right message, it helps you heal even faster. I want my music to be infused with a positive attitude and a hopeful message,” says AnaEme.  Rather than sell the Navidad album, she has partnered with World Vision for the distribution of the album: fans can donate to World Vision in order to receive the album, and all funds will go to World Vision to be used around the world in various humanitarian campaigns.

AnaEme is currently in the writing process for her next album. She loves the application of indie styles to music, film, art, and photography and hopes to expand her fanbase with an eclectic new range of musical offerings. “I love being able to work on music that challenges me to bring my Colombian identity into the mix in a
way that is authentic and fresh,” she reflects.

Navidad is charged with the energy and rich Colombian flavour that AnaEme brings to every project. AnaEme’s an artist that is just getting started; she can’t wait for you to see what’s beyond Navidad.
